 During the 90's I ran a t-shirt design company, wholesaling across the country and attending agricultural and craft shows. During this time I attended life drawing and painting classes. I used to sketch people at the shows just capturing a movement, the stance and the way the clothes fall. I started making my own paper and painting on its rough surface, this meant I could do small paintings but keep them loose.(and pack them away easily as I had two small boys! and not a lot of spair time!) In 2003 my friends persuaded me to get these pictures framed and exhibit in the Wyle Valley Art Trail....I sold out of all my hand made paper paintings, as well as the prints and cards. I sold my T-shirt business in 2004 and the rest as they say is history...except I do tend to get side tracked by opportunities that come my way! 2003 Wyle Valley Art Trail 2003-4 Exhibited at Fisherton Mill Feb 2004 Black Swan Open Exhibition Frome 2004 Sold work from Green Park Station in Bath, Originals ,Prints and cards. Also wholesaled cards to various shops. Sept 2004 opened Gallery above Serendipity in Warminster, selling my work and other artists. Feb 2005 Took over Serendipity of Warminster ran the Gallery and gift shop. June 2005 Wyle Valley art Trail. (March 2006 Gave birth to Arthur!) Sept 2006 Opened second shop in Gillingham 'Tamsyn G' Oct 2007 Sold Serendipity to concentrate on Painting and making Jewellery (as well as looking after Arthur! and his brothers!) 2008 Running 'Tamsyn G', Designing and painting and taking photographs... arthur will be featuring in alot of my new paintings.
