Tamsyns Blog - It's all going a bit woolly......... 3pm 21/4/08 Rowan wools have just arrived (ulp!) does this officially make me a wool shop? I already have some gorgeous fairtrade wools and Uk Alpaca, as well as pure wool that I have my own labels on. (great for felting)...So It's deffinetly looking a bit woolly in here! All I have to do now is find some space! aaaaaaaaaaah 5pm 21/4/08 The Regia sock yarn is in place ha ra!..not sure about their packaging, looks a bit 'old wool shop'. I have put them in a way it doesn't show too much. love the colours though! and can't wait to knit a pair of socks for Tony. 9pm 21/4/08 Well.....stared at the wool and the free pattern that comes with it....stared for a very very long time! occasionaly glanced at the telly. In the end I decided I must be too tired and left it for tommorow. Instead I went and joined the Lets Knit forum! 8am 22/4/08 Looked on lets knit to see if any messages. phew lots of hello's so thats good. I was quite nervous as my first forum. Arthur my two year old wants to be a policeman (again) and is looking for the appropriate hat so must go! 9.10 22/4/08 Quick he's happily playing (a train driver policeman!) todays list of to do's * Fit the Pure Life Organic into the shop (my shops quite bright and glittery these are a little on the pastel side!) *Sort wages from last year for Inland Rev Yuk! *Catch up with last 3 weeks book work *Finish recycled jumper bags and put them online. *Put a pile of wools to go on line. *Start beading the brooches and put a few to go online. Luckily Arthur does 2 hours nursery today! 9.30 22/4/08 Cup of coffee and checked the forum..whoops bit addictive. 22/04/08 7pm Ha ra Arthur is asleep (bless) dinners out of the way-kitchen is going to be left till the morning cause I really am going to start knitting those socks. They should come out like this.  10pm My first attempt at socks! 3 hours work!  This is not good...I am hoping to help people get started with theirs and I have no idea how to follow the Regia pattern it seems complete gobbledy gook to me! and it comes free with the wool which I now have in my shop only 6kg Ulp! as you can see the wool is gorgeous colours and I will try and get them on line as soon as possible. One of the ladies at the Knit and Natter night showed us some socks she had made and I sooo want to make some..She is not coming this week so I will have to wait another whole week soo frustrating. 23/04/08 To do list *Inland revenue..must do! *3 and a half weeks bookwork catch up! *make some necklaces using buttons *change paintings on web. * house catch up with tidying. *paint this evening? Well a very busy day! Did not manage one thing off my list! Gekko clothes arrived ( I want them all!) absolutely gorgeous dresses which would go on jeans or on their own when it really warms up, and lovely bags! Ha Ra Spring has arrived ! The shop looked very colourful when I hung them all outside.  it is now 9.30pm I am looking for a new sock pattern on the internet as my attempt was so bad with the other pattern...I must be able to knit them it can't be that difficult. Am knitting the remainder of Arthurs jumper while my computer works very slowly! ooo it just looks too complicated I think I may need help. (yeh and not just with the knitting!) It is knit and Knatter tomorrow night maybe some one will be able to make sense of it. I will also post on the Lets knit site to see if anyone else is as hopeless as me! AAAAAAAAAAAH! I had so many lovely things to say today..will get back to that. Today is not a good one, I had problems with my business account when I changed the Name of the company, mainly there was a glitch and the bank never sent me books (or so I thought!) with Tamsyn G Ltd on! So I opened a new account which I presumed all my money would automatically go into..but somehow I have been paying into the old account and money has just being going out of the new one (confused? I am) now The bank are ringing from India or wherever the remote call centre is to let me know how bad it is and I know it really isn't...I feel like crying. I can't stand dealing with banks anyway or anyone official (not good when you run a business!). Have left a message with my bank manager who is actually lovely and not at all scary! But maybe, when she realises my account is still not sorted. On top of this I have a fine from Companys House for putting my books in late! Must get the Inland Rev sorted or will have a bad day tomorrow, nope is a weekend so I will have a good couple of days! Quote from one of the ladies that joined my knitting group last night ' Sod the knitting I'm Shopping!' (which was good for me under the circumstances!) this was in reaction to the new Gekko clothes which she had actually been waiting for for some time. First time to the knitting group but not first time in the shop. It was a lovely evening with four new ladies as well as the regulars. Three of us and a baby are off to the Stitch N Craft show at Shepton Mallet on Sun so that will be fun. George my eldest is sixteen today ! That makes me feel older, maybe I should start growing up mmm no not sure it's time, anyway lovely birthday T to have later, Arthur decided George would like a car cake and lots of jelly...he's not going to be to old for party tea and is still my little boy mmm not so little he is starting to tower over me..very scary. Harry (my middle son) is meeting Prince Edward today he plays Rugby for North Dorset in one of the most succesful teams they've had, Prince Edward is visiting the North Dorset Rugby club and the under 14 girls and boy teams are doing some demonstrations. The under 14's are also in the Wilts and Dorset finals on Sunday so an exciting weekend ahead. Well I feel better now I've put all that down, time for a coffee.
