Button Workshop
This will be a workshop on how to use up your button stash.
I will teach how to make button Jewellery, Button hearts and brooches.
Buttons will be provided for the duration of the workshop from ever growing collection of new, secondhand and vintage buttons.
A great couple of hours play! Searching through buttons, like going through 'grannies' button box when we were children :)
Knit Club
If you have just learnt to knit and not sure what to make, this is the workshop for you. First choose your pattern from very simple to medium level, and pick your yarn take a pair of needles and start knitting. With Tamsyn's help and guidance you will soon be knitting a scarf, wristwarmers or a hat in lovely selfstriping wool.
You can also ask for help with casting on,off, knit and pearl to create stocking stitch,rib and plain knit.
At the end of the workshop You will leave feeling much more confident about following a pattern and choosing the right yarn.
The price for the workshop includes the needles,yarn and pattern so that you can carry on when you leave.
Brooch Making Workshop 10-1pm
A fun filled couple of hours making brooches. Learn the teqhniques for making a variety of brooches.
From simple felted flower brooches to cutting out designs and embellishing with ribbons,beads, yarn and embroidery threads. We will also be adding beaded wires to make them more unusual.
There will be recycled jumpers, vintage fabrics, beads,buttons and yarn to turn into wonderful brooches.
Needle Felting workshop
This is a very relaxed workshop on how to needle felt. Using gorgeous merino wools and oddments of yarn you will learn to 'paint with wool'. I will provide all the materials from recycled jumpers for cutting in to shapes to beads for embellishing your finished article as well as a table full of coloured yarns. This is a very instant craft and very addictive.
Wet felting will also be talked about and there will be a demonstration on how to make felt balls ideal for use in jewellery and brilliant for needle felting into.
